Last Sunday I made it just in time to catch the World Cosplay Summit 2009 final competition in Nagoya! I heard that there was a parade at Osu and a red carpet walk for the finalists on Saturday and before I arrived on Sunday there was a karaoke session with people doing otagei!

The theater date for the Macross Frontier Movie : The False Songstress (劇場版　マクロスＦ　～イツワリノウタヒメ～) has been announced: November 21, 2009. The official website has been updated and we've learned that the movie will be part one of two parts!

Sakura-con in Seattle was my first American anime convention and it really opened my eyes to how passionate American fans can be! "Festival Walk Soga Cosplay Freedom 24" is being held on May 3,2009 from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm. The event is being held at the Festival Walk Soga and the only fee is 500 yen for the use of the changing rooms!

A cosplay event called "COS-PATIO 16 in Rosemary Park Vol. 7" is being held in Rosemary park on May 24, 2009. The event will be from 11 am to 5 pm. The park is located in Chiba prefecture and is also known as Shakespeare Country Park.

A new concept cosplay shop ACOS Ikebukuro (ACOS池袋), managed by Animate (アニメイト) that just launched on September 6th, schedules a grand opening for its second branch ACOS Niigata (ACOS新潟) on the 22nd of November!

We saved the best for last~ The last day of Cherry's cosplay challenge is Yoko of Gurren Lagann! This is perhaps the most challenging costume for me rather than for Cherry.
