Among Others
Among Others by Jo Walton

What more can be said about this audio book than, "simply fantastic"? The narrator is in perfect tune with the story. The story itself is a fantastic coming of age tale celebrating the discovery of life and magic through a passion for sci-fi novels. This was one of the best audiobooks I have had the pleasure to listen to ever. (Brian, 5-Star Review, "Simply Fantastic")

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum

Ms. Hathaway is a gift to the listener. Her talent for voice and characterization provides a lyrical and engrossing experience to the listener of this otherwise simple story. Plus she is perfectly paired with the stylistic content and range of the story. The result is magic. (Richard, 5-Star Review, "As good as it gets")

Code Talker: The First and Only Memoir by One of the Original Navajo Code Talkers of WWII
Code Talker: The First and Only Memoir by One of the Original Navajo Code Talkers of WWII by Chester Nez, Judith Schiess Avila

Chester Nez lays out an inspiring journey that took him from his Native American homeland to a key strategic role in World War II, and on to a life in pursuit of the American dream. One of the most enjoyable audiobooks I've listened to in over a decade as an Audible Listener. Narration was super too. (Andy, 5-Star Review, "Surprising and Inspiring")

The Limpopo Academy of Private Detection: No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, Number 13
The Limpopo Academy of Private Detection: No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, Number 13 by Alexander McCall Smith

This series is best enjoyed with a really good narrator and Lisette Lecat is that. Her reading brings the characters to life. Since there are many unfamiliar places and names in Botswana hearing them pronounced correctly contributes to the enjoyment of these books. The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series is not "serious literature" but it is great fun and very entertaining. The characters are engaging and the insight into the day to day lives of "ordinary" people in Botswana is interesting. This book is the latest in the series and does not disappoint. I would recommend starting to listen to the series from the beginning since there are many references to events and people from the earlier books, so knowing some of the background of the characters does add to the enjoyment. It is like visiting old friends from far away. (Eleanor, 5-Star Review, "This series + this narrator = great entertainment")

Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking
Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain

This is by far the best non-fiction book I've read in a very long time. Working as a manager of a software firm - I've long known that the best developers, the silent type, thrieve in solitude and letting them be alone will get you the best results. At the same time I've often wanted to foster better team spirit with open landscape seating etc. This book got me thinking and reflecting on both my workplace and friends and family around me. The perfomance truly matches the sense and meaning of the book - so even thou it's a bit too slow for me it really works. (Magnus, 5-Star Review, "Insightful, thoughtful, and fun")

American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History
American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History by Chris Kyle

First, thank you to Chris Kyle for his service and to all those who put their country first and bravely fight the battles few of us could even fathom. I appreciated this book immensely. It vividly paints a picture of the battle front and the rollercoaster of emotions our fighting men and women endure. I can't recommend this book highly enough. It and "Lone Survivor" are two must read books. (Bret, 5-Star Review, "Amazing Man, Amazing Recount")

Tough Sh-t: Life Advice from a Fat, Lazy Slob Who Did Good
Tough Sh-t: Life Advice from a Fat, Lazy Slob Who Did Good by Kevin Smith

It's an honest story and so Kevin from top to bottom that I couldn't have wished for anything more. What makes this especially great is that Kevin reads the book by himself. It makes a world of difference. (Ossi, 5-Star Review, "If you're a Kevin Smith fan you'll love it. I did.")

What Every BODY Is Saying: An Ex-FBI Agent's Guide to Speed-Reading People
What Every BODY Is Saying: An Ex-FBI Agent's Guide to Speed-Reading People by Joe Navarro and Marvin Karlins

This book is amazing. I was astounded by how much I learned about others and about myself. So many movements that I noticed in my now ex-husband but unfortunately didn't have the knowledge that I have now to read what they meant. If only I had listened to this book years ago!! I've also learned signals that I give of discomfort, so I can listen to myself better instead of reasoning "oh, but they are really a nice person" when around potentially hurtful people. This book will be a constant companion in helping me to navigate relationships with others and will be helpful in work situations as well. Simply excellent!! (Meghan, 5-Star Review, "My new favorite book!!")

Kill Shot: An American Assassin Thriller
Kill Shot: An American Assassin Thriller by Vince Flynn

Seems like a long wait since American Assassin, but worth it. This installment continues to give us the background story of Mitch Rapp's early days with Stansfield, Kennedy, Hurly, and in this novel much more on the character of Victor who first appeared in American Assassin. The story works as a stand alone, but when taken within the context of the entire Mitch Rapp series, provides more detail on the characters we have grown accustomed to. Mr. Flynn maintains his great story telling and is complimented by the competent narration of George Guidall. Recommended both for new readers and devoted followers of Vince Flynn's work. (David, 5-Star Review, "Early days of Mitch Rapp better than a new series")

Imagine: How Creativity Works
Imagine: How Creativity Works by Jonah Lehrer

Jonah does a wonderful job of balancing scientific studies and analysis with indepth examples of real artists, professionals, and situations that influence creativity. I highly recommend this book to everyone. I would go so far as to say it should be part of classroom settings as it will change the way you view your work and the work of others. (Morgan, 5-Star Review, "An incredible insight into human creativity")
