The Quintin Society

[Society Insignia]

The Society Insignia.

The name Quintin comes from the Latin `Quintus', meaning `fifth in line', or more simply, `five', hence the pentagonal shape of the insignia! The first famous Quintin was Quintus Horatius Flaccus, the Latin poet Horace, who is most noted for writing the fairy story of the Town and Country Mouse. Quintin became a popular name in France after St.Quintin's martyrdom in 600's, and several French towns are named after him. Quintin is the purest form of the name, and often it has become corrupted to lesser names as Quentin and Quinton. You can read a numerological analysis of the name Quintin at the Kabalarian Philosophy pages here... see if it matches up to you! (It does to me!)

There now follows a list of people so far registered in the Quintin society. Please note - to prevent spam machines coming here and making nuisances of themselves, all email addresses have the suffix .tqshp, which you must remove before writing to any of these people!
