Rhodesia - the building of a nation from the wilderness

From the wilderness which existed at the time of Cecil John Rhodes arrival, a vibrant new nation called Rhodesia was created. In less than 75 years this nation, created from nothing by toil and enterprise, became the jewel of Africa, the most progressive and socially evolutionary country on the African continent, until its tragic metamorphosis into the Republic of Zimbabwe in 1980.

Important Rhodesian documentation

The Lancaster House conference - London UK 1979

The infamous talks at which the new majority ruled Zimbabwe - Rhodesia, was effectively sold to the Communist Terrorists, by the weak-willed and naive new Prime Minister, Bishop Abel Muzorewa.

The war against terrorism

During the 1970īs a vicious bush war was fought against Eastern bloc sponsored Communist terrorists, who were aided and supported by the other Eastern bloc sponsored black African 'frontline' states. These terrorists were responsible for many savage atrocities against both the black and white population of Rhodesia. Perhaps their most nausiating, and cowardly action, among many such unspeakable terrorist acts, being the shooting down of two civilian airliners, one in September 1978 and the other in February 1979, and the consequent hacking to death and rape of crash survivors.
