  Downloading files in eDonkey

Within eDonkey there are two ways of starting a download, clicking on an ed2k:// link on a website, in an email, or in an instant messenger conversation. Or finding files via the search button.

Downloading from an ed2k:// link
These ones are the easiest, just visit a site that indexes content on the eDonkey network, and you will see download links like these ones
Bishop Allen - Busted Heart
Bishop Allen - Things are what you make of them
Bishop Allen - Little Black Ache
Depending on your Operating System (and a couple other things) you can either click on the link (try that now) to download the file directly, or right click on the link, select 'Copy link to clipboard', open eDonkey, select the transfer tab, right click and select 'Paste ed2k link'.
Presto! That download should be listed on the screen within a few seconds.

Searching for Files
eDonkey has a robust searching mechanism built right in. To search for files:
-Select the search tab
-Enter in some basic search criteria (words, like 'space' or 'time' and such)
-Select the format (leaving it at 'Any' is fine, but selecting Audio, Video or Programs will help narrow down search results, and ensure you get more relevant results.
-Hit Submit
-Wait a few seconds, and the search results should just pour in!

To download a file, just double click on the file. If you would like to select multiple files for download just hold down the control button, select each one, then hit the Download button in the top right of the tab.
