100 Years in Rugby League Football

As we enter our 100th year...
Are you a Bluebags supporter?
2008 is our Centenary year and we want to get in touch with ex-players and supporters, so tell us about your association with the Jets.

Newtown Rugby League Football Club was formed on January 8, 1908, at an overflow public meeting in the Newtown Town Hall.
January 8, 2007, the Newtown Club started its 100th year of involvement in Rugby League - from 1908 to 2008, with only a short break between 1984 and 1990 when the Club did not field a team in the NSW Rugby League competitions.
We're unique
The Newtown Club has maintained its roots in the inner city suburbs and still plays at historic Henson Park.
The passion and constancy of supporters is matched by the passion and commitment of the Board and the team of volunteer workers who man the gates, staff the canteen, call the game, write the newletters, maintain the website, take game photos and do endless other things that keep the Club alive.
Everyone contributes their time, money and professional skills willingly because they believe in that intangible 'something' that sets our Club apart.
Take a moment...
As we enter our 100th year of involvement with Rugby League, take a moment to look back on what Newtown sides have achieved since 1908.
Remind yourself of the recent successes we've enjoyed in the Premier League and Jim Beam competitions and think about the promise of 2007 and beyond!
