FINANCE MINISTER TO MEET WITH HIS G8 COUNTERPARTS IN WASHINGTON

Russian Finance Minister Alexey Kudrin will arrive in Washington on a working visit today. He will take part in a meeting of G8 finance ministers and heads of Central Banks. The main topic of their discussion will be the counteraction to financing international terrorism and joint measures of the Group of Eight in this direction. Kudrin is also expected to meet with US Secretary of Commerce Donald Evans and Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill. In addition, the Russian Finance Minister will take part n a meeting of the Russian-US Business Council. He will return to Moscow on October 7.
