Honourable
Joseph Kofi Adda, Member of Parliament for Navrongo Central
was born on 22nd April, 1956 at Navronogo, Kassena-Nankana District
of the Upper East Region.

He
had his first tertiary education from Indiana Wesleyan University,
Marion College, USA from 1979-1982 where he pursued a Bachelor of
Science cum laude in Economics and Political Science. Then, in 1989,
he also attended Sorbonne University, Paris, France coming out with
a certificate in French Language and civilization.
Joseph
Kofi Adda, from 1982-1984, enrolled at the Columbia University of
the City of New York, New York, USA and obtained his Master’s
degree in International Affairs Specializing in Finance and Banking.
In the same University, Mr Kofi Adda pursed a graduate certificate
degree in African Studies.
The Honourable
Minister for Manpower, Youth and Development, who is a financial Economist
and Management Consultant, has had working experience in several organizations
both in Ghana and abroad.
He was
the Executive officer in 1979 at the Ministry of Trade and Industry
and between 1983-1984 worked with the Third World Trade Institute,
New York, USA as a Research Analyst intern. From 1985-1986, Mr Adda
became the account Executive and Management trainee at the Equitable
Financial Service, Inc.New Jersey, USA.
The Honourable
Kofi Adda had once worked with the Essex County College, Newark, New
Jersey, USA from 1986-1988 where he held the position of Director
of Administration. He also worked at the Thomson McKinnon Securities
Inc., New York, USA as a Securities Analyst and was a Principal Consultant
from 1989-1991 at the Marco-Analytic consulting manager and client
service director with the Deloitte and Touche Consulting, (West Africa),
Accra between 1991-1994.
The MP
for Navronogo Central Constiuency also worked at the Ministry of
Finance, Accra from 1996-1998 as a Project Manager for the Public
Financial Management Reform Programme (PUFMARP). From 1999-2000 in
the same Ministry, he became the Technical Advisor; Financial Reforms.
He had also been the Director of Omni Consulting International (Ghana)
Ltd since 1994. Mr Kofi Adda was elected Member of Parliament in 2003
and was re-elected during the 2004 General Election.
The Honourable
Joseph Kofi Adda holds the following position in Parliament: He is
a Vice Chairman of the Privileges Committee; member of Finance Committee;
member of Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs as well as a member
of the Trade, Industry and Tourism
Mr Joseph
Kofi Adda is married and has two children.
