Honourable Professor Dominic Kwaku Fobih,
an Associate Professor, was born on 6th July, 1942 at Assin
Jakiai in the Central Region. He obtained his Ordinary General
Certificate of Education in 1966 and his GCE Advanced Level
in 1970. |
In 1963, he passed out with a Ghana Teachers Certificate "A" (Post ‘B') at St Augustine in Bogoso, and in 1967 an Associate Certificate in Education at University College of Education Cape Coast.
In 1974, he earned a B.Ed degree of the University
of Cape Coast. Professor Fobih also obtained a Masters degree in Dalhousie
University, also in 1979 he earned a P.H.D in Educational Psychology
in University of Alberta.
Professor Fobih spent almost his entire working life in academia. He was a lecturer at the University of Cape Coast from 1979 until his appointment as Minister for Environment and Science in 2001.
He was also at one time a lecturer at the University
of Ilorin in Nigeria, a Research fellow and Teaching Assistant at
the Universities of Alberta and Dalhousie, Canada.
