GCU Roughriders
The GCU Roughriders are made of players mainly from Glasgow Caledonian University but also from Strathclyde University and some of the colleges surrounding the university.
The team entered its first season in 03-04, and were largely unsuccessful going 0-8. Since then, interest has grown and the team has expanded.
In the 06-07 season the Roughriders finished 4-3-1, and in 4-4-0 in 07-08, narrowly missing out on the playoffs on both occasions. The team looks to improve on this success in 08-09 and reach the playoffs for the first time in its history.
