Nottingham Outlaws

The Nottingham Outlaws have been consistently competitive since their inaugural season in 1996-7.

In 2002/3 the team reached the semi-finals of the competition.

Last year the team reached the second round of the play-offs before being knocked out by the Newcastle Raiders.

The Outlaws'' home field is at Clifton Campus at the Nottingham Trent University and players comprise from both Nottingham Trent University & The University of Nottingham.

The team’s overall record is up to the start of the 2008/09 season stands at: 50-45-1.

University of Nottingham

The University of Nottingham is a leading research university in the city of Nottingham, in the East Midlands. It is a member of the Russell Group & was ranked among the top ten higher education institutes in the UK by the Daily Telegraph.

The University can trace its origins back to the founding of an adult education school in 1798. Much of the pioneering work on MRI was done at the university led by Sir Peter Mansfield who received a Nobel Prize in 2003.

Nottingham Trent University dates back to 1843. It was founded as a polytechnic before gaining university status in 1992. It is one of the biggest universities in the U.K.

Hazel Blears & the designer Paul Smith are among the famous alumni that attended the university.
