Ciao everybody!!
Long time no write... sorry (^^)``
I am swamped with things to do as usual... but at least I am getting less and less swamped... in manga!!
(but only because I am cleaning up my room, the purchase pace is not slowing down one bit... erm)
I just bought a new desk for my home office and some new bookcase-towers to pursue the fantastic "SIMONA - GET A DECENT LIFE PLAN!!" (^o^)
Hellooooo!!!
I am VERY excited because Oct 10th 2009 is the very important day of my debut on a Japanese anime magazine!!
OTONA ANIME [Anime for grown-ups] #14
it is a bimonthly mook that every time focuses on a small number of works, with a lot of insightful reports and interviews, so it is read by many professionals of the anime world.
I wrote my opinion on Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei's anime (^^)
ciao boys and girls!
I'm in Italy fighting with Blame Academy! and Vampire Knight 10 and I don't seem likely to survive!!
EEEEEKKKKKKK!!!
I'll come back to Tokyo in time for Comiket and all that and I'll resume the column!!
I PROMISE!!!
[I'll also reply to queen2408's kind posts!! Thank you very much!!]
diving back into translation hell, over and out!
[chilling out @ Sacher Cafe in Vienna on my way here last month]
Hello Boys and Girls,
sorry for not writing for so long (^^)``
because of my intense schedule and also because we don't want to concentrate all the cool BL authors in a small space XD Simona's BL Research Lab is going to be published every other Wednesday, starting hopefully from next week.
I am going to Italy for 2 weeks and I'll be running around like a headless chicken [as usual] so I'll try to do my best to publish in time this time!! errrm next time!! errm... well next week!!
Yo!
did you know that @ Anime Center they have setup a dubbing studio where you can do your
very personal anime dubbing experience?
Well, since I spend most of my time shut in my room translating manga I didn't know! XD
...until cometh a French TV program [Japanese crew] and somehow drags me in this
unexpected experience!
The presenter is a very talented young actress so it was impossible for me to keep up with her XD
They are coming to film my otaku room tomorrow so I'll ask about names, titles, time and date, etc.
In the last few days I've been roaming around Tokyo taking pictures with
the Italian crew of a VERY big international media colossus, so while I was doing
the organizer/translator/interpreter/guide thing, I also took the chance to take some shots of my own.
This very Lego-looking apartment complex is in the Oosawa area of Mitaka, 30 km from Tokyo.
It's actually not even that expensive, I'd love to live there!!
Friday here was a holyday to celebrate Winter Equinox - the start of Spring.
I am still swimming under water with all my translation work but hopefully
I'll manage to catch up with my deadlines by the start of next month
[though then I'll be busy with some other project here in Tokyo].
[SuperHero Spiderdog. He was walking by in Nakameguro like it was the most natural thing in the world. Could you believe it?!!]
Yo!! Today is Girls' Day in Japan (^^)/
Happy Girls Day to all the Girlies!!
[Including the non-biological ones]
As you might know, it's the Dolls Festival, and it is tradition
to decorate the house with a pyramidal display of dolls that
represent the Imperial Couple and their Court.
Of course I don't have ANY space for that cos my table is
already occupied by the Seven Gods of Fortune
February is ALWAYS the shortest and nastiest month of the year.
I have sooooo much to do "I don't even have eyes for crying (left)",
like we say in Italia.
I just did this:
and this:
With the Euro hitting the bottom and the World economy in the bin,
one has to start taking pre-emptive measures!!
So here is how to spend a day in Tokyo spending less than 500 yen!
I am actually lucky enough to live in a ward that has a very cool City Hall,
I am not talking about Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach :DDDDD
Among my strawberries [no, I don't grow them in the garden :D I bought them at the Tokyu Store]
today I found a Shuriken/Sharingan-like triplet
that was too cool not to immortalize!!
here!
Gwaaaah!
Since I recovered from New Year's cold [here in Tokyo everybody got sick around Christmas or after New Year's... eek!] I am literally swamped with things to do (^^)`` and deadlines which are so dead that they smell already... (T_T)
but anyway, this time I'll tell you what I am working on now! yeah.
they are all Italian editions by Panini Comics's Planet Manga division.
Buon Anno Nuovo!
Happy New Year!
Sorry for not writing for so long, I actually cought the Comiket bug and spent New Year's in bed coughing (><) urrgh. I shared my fate with my roommate Tom who came with me, and we are slowly recovering. It was quite funny cos we could hear each other coughing from the other side of the wall: "O, he's still alive! Good!" like :DDD
Well it's time for balances! How was your 2008?
Ciao a tutti!
Hello everybody (^^)/
This is your Italian Gin Ichimaru, Simona writing from Akihabara for her first blog entry on Akibanana… and well, her first blog in general :D
For the Opening Ceremony I’d start writing about my first stage experience with Akibanana (^^) yeah!
Happy new year~
BTW, We are STILL going through cosmetic sugery..
It would take some time to complete the makeover so please keep clearing your cache and refreshing your browser.
