Liverpool Fury
The Liverpool Fury were conceived by three JMU students, Joe Black, Duvalle Merchant and John Allison while traveling to Lancaster to play their college football for the Lancaster Bombers.
The reason for their formation being to create a team for all the universities of Liverpool, so players didn’t have to travel hours to play. With a large student population in the city they saw great potential for the team. First practices were in 2006 and by the following year the team had a full roster and full kit for games and practice.
It is therefore appropriate that the Fury’s Associate year saw them take on the Bombers on the I.M.Marsh Campus, a fixture which saw them awarded Full Membership of the BUAFL.
