Huddersfield Hawks

(c) www.gallowayphotography.co.ukThe Huddersfield Hawks were formed in July 2006 by ex Sheffield Hallam Warriors Safety Paul Blair who set up the club and recruited his former Head Coach John Edley.

The club completed its associate year in 2007 with games against Leicester, Sunderland and Durham and gained membership into the newly formed BUAFL league for the 2007/2008 season.

Placed in a difficult division with four teams that had made the play offs the previous year the Hawks suffered from a lack of experience on both sides of the ball which lead to an 0-8 season. However following the appointment of new coaching staffs and the introduction of the new BUAFL league structure as well as improvements in ability and experience on the field, the Hawks are confident of becoming a competitive team in the competitive Northern Conference.
