Sedanka

Sedanka, Aleutian Islands

The island of Sedanka lies just off the eastern end of the southern peninsula that forms the southeastern end of Unalaska (Unalaska is at top-left in this image). The island forms the southern boundary to Beaver Inlet (top-right) that cuts deeply in to Unalaska's eastern side. (The opposite side of the bay, formed by the northeastern peninsula of Unalaska, is visible at the extreme top-right corner of the image). The island has a highly indented coastline with maximum dimensions of around 16 km in length and 6.5 km in width. Total land area of Sedanka is 103 km².
