Raikoke

Situated at the southern end of the Krusenstern Strait in the Northern Kuril Islands, 18 km northwards across the Golvnin Strait from Matua, Raikoke is a small conical-shaped island that rises steeply from the sea to a height of 551 m. The island measures 2 km across and contains a 700 m wide summit caldera that reaches a depth of 200 m.
