Nengonengo

A small atoll of the Centre East group, Nengonengo (sometimes written as Nengo Nengo) lies 68 km northwest from Manuhangi and 100 km southwest from Hao; its closest neighbour is the small atoll of Ravahere situated 53 km to the northwest.
Nengonengo measures 14 km in length (orientated northwest to southeast) and has a maximum width of 8 km, with its enclosed lagoon covering an area of 67 km². The seamount that forms the atoll rises steeply from the seafloor over 4,300 m below — making Nengonengo one of the tallest of seamounts in the Tuamotu region.
