A small emergent volcano of the Schouten Islands group, kadovar is located 11 km south from Blup Blup and 23 km west from Bam; the New Guinea coast at the mouth of the Sepik River lies 23 km to the south.
A steep scarp and emergent lava dome (365 m above sea level) are the dominant features of the interior.
