Shortland Reefs

The Shortland Reefs are located 7 km northeast from the island of Basilaki and 4 km west from Bright Reef — the westernmost reef of the Engineer Group.
The Shortland Reefs form a complex of reefs, deep basins and shallow lagoon environments that are spread over an area measuring 7 km (east to west) by 4 km (north to south). The western side of the reef complex contains the small Shortland Islet (coloured red in the above false colour image); 4 km southeast from Shortland Islet, situated off the main reefs, is the smaller Byron Islet
