Sanaroa

The fourth largest island of the D'Entrecasteaux Islands, Sanaroa is located 4 km off Cape Kwaia — the easternmost extremity of Fergusson Island.
Sanaroa has a maximum dimension of 11.5 km (northwest to southeast); east to west dimensions across the island vary from 9 km in the north to 2 km in the south. Much of the island is of low-lying terrain with mangrove-lined coasts and river channels occurring along the western coast. The interior contains two prominent hills, the largest rising to 212 m above sea level.
